According to a recent press release, the Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) is on the hunt for two individuals who illegally released around 25 turkeys onto the Key Pittman Wildlife Management Area.

If you were in Nevada on April 9th and passed through the area and happened to spot a white truck towing a horse trailer in the vicinity of the WMA, or if you have any leads on who might be behind this fowl play, let NDOW know.

They do have a few clues, as security footage from a local convenience store captured the truck and trailer making a pit stop for gas before heading north on U.S. Route 93. The truck has a noticeable dent on the passenger side door.

With many Montanans heading south at some point in the winter, we figured it would be worth sharing.  Also, please do not do this!

If anybody has any intel on this, whether it’s a tip, a photo, or a video, reach out to the Nevada Operation Game Thief hotline by calling (800) 992-3030 or by using the NDOW Tip app. The NDOW Tip app provides citizens the ability to submit anonymous tips, photos, or video to the Nevada Department of Wildlife via text messaging. NDOW Tip is available for download for free via the Google Play Store, iTunes App Store, or by visiting the agency’s website at www.ndow.org.  Your anonymity is guaranteed, and your help could be the missing piece of the puzzle!
