Yikes! A 12-year-old boy became a hero when he saved his dad from a bear attack during a hunting trip in Wisconsin. Owen Beierman shot the black bear as it mauled his father, pinning him down. The father and son had been tracking the wounded bear when it suddenly charged. Despite firing multiple shots and missing, the bear attacked Mr. Beierman. That’s when Owen stepped in and took the life-saving shot. While bear attacks are rare in Wisconsin, this one had a happy ending thanks to Owen’s quick thinking. His dad had a few injuries but is on the mend.
Be careful out there!
