CURRENT REPORT
The Blackfoot is big and off-colored. Recent cool weather has dropped the flows considerably, but the Blackfoot is still very much in runoff mode. Big stonefly nymphs, worms and streamers fished in shallow, along banks or slow insides will be your best bet for getting fish. That being said, we won’t be rocking and rolling on the Blackfoot for another month.
Looking Forward
We will keep you updated as to when the Blackfoot comes back into shape. This Saturday, May 17th, is opener for small creeks and tributaries in western Montana! Great time to go check out smaller, clear-colored creeks.
