Walleye-for the most part of the week the bite has been up and down with the cold temps and wind we’ve had. Finding some active smaller fish shallow where we can find temps that are above 50.
Smallmouth-lots of active fish where they are near their spawning areas. Most fish we caught were in less 6 feet of water pitching jigs and plastics or minnows.
Pike-the northern bite is still excellent and can be caught trolling. Pitching jigs or dragging minnows behind the boat, as well as under a slip bobber. Mostly working shorelines fishing 15 FOW or less.
Lake trout-fish are scattered around still but we were starting to see some fish starting to school up in 65-85 FOW, Vertical jigging with plastics was the deal for us this past week.
