Canyon Ferry: Walleye fishing is really getting good between mid-reservoir and the south end.  Trolling bottom bouncers with worm harnesses in 12-15 feet of water between Duck Creek and Pond 1 has been the most productive.  White Earth to Round Top has produced great results as well with some anglers using jigs.  Rainbows continue to be caught on the north end and around White Earth while trolling crankbaits, spoons or cowbells.  Rainbows are also being caught while fishing for walleye.  Shore fishing has produced both rainbows and walleyes on worms or jigs with a worm around Broadwater Bay and north of the Silos. The carp spawn is in full swing with both bow fishing and hook and line providing great action.  Troy Humphrey, FWP, Helena

Hauser: A few walleye are being picked up from the Causeway Bridge, out on Lake Helena, and inside the Causeway Arm while pitching dark-colored jigs tipped with leeches or crawlers or trolling bottom bouncers with crawler harnesses. Bow Fishing for carp on Lake Helena has been productive when the wind and water clarity allows. Rainbow fishing has been good in the early morning hours while trolling cowbells between the Dam and the Powerlines and below Canyon Ferry Dam while using either worms and a marshmallow or Powerbait from shore.  Chris Hurley, FWP, Helena

Holter: Rainbow fishing has been productive during the early morning hours throughout most of the reservoir while trolling various flashers and spinners tipped with crawler pieces. A few rainbows are being picked up while fishing from shore at Departure Point with plain crawlers or Powerbait. Walleye fishing has been great around weed beds on the lower end of the reservoir while trolling bottom bouncers with crawler harnesses in 15 to 25 feet of water. A few northern pike are being caught while casting larger spoons around weed beds. Good numbers of perch are being caught in the same areas as the walleyes while trolling bottom bouncers or casting smaller jigs around weed beds.  Chris Hurley, FWP, Helena
