Hebgen & Quake Lakes: The lakes are fishing very well right now. Quake is going to be drastically more colored up than hebgen for the next few weeks. We’ve been getting fish on chironomids subsurface, fish have been looking at attractor dries too, but its still a bit early for gulpers.

Upper Madison:
The Upper is fishing great despite runoff being so off and on this year – with our weather as indecisive as ever, its been rising but not necessarily coloring up too drastically. Bugs are finally flying, mainly caddis on the upper with some good baetis days mixed in. Nymphing is as solid as ever but plenty of fish are rising on dries too!

Flies We’re Fishing:
#16 Olive Hot Spot Perdigon, #16 Sunburst Perdigon, #18 S&M Dark Baetis, #18 Purple JJ Baetis, #16/#18 Black OR Red Krystal Dip, #14 Pilva’s Perdigon – Olive, #20 Bucky’s Midge Cluster, #20 Low Water Baetis, #20 Missing Link, #16 Royal Chubby Chernobyl, #16 Peacock Chubby Chernobyl, #4 Olive Supernatural Peanut, #6 Olive MT Mouthwash, #6 Olive/White Barely Legal, #8 Hot Bead Leech – Olive, Black, Brown

YNP
The park has opened to fishing and its been great!
Firehole: The firehole is fishing very well, we’ve seen tons of the regular opening day bugs, i.e. White Miller caddis, spring caddis, BWO’s, and some early big bugs in the way of salmonflies a bit lower on the river. swinging wets has been productive as always.
Madison: The Mad is fishing great as well, with most of the same bugs as the firehole buzzing around.
Gibbon: To avoid redundancy, its fishing great too!
Gallatin: The Gallatin is still icy cold and wont get into full swing for another month or so.

NE Corner: The Yellowstone and its tributaries are closed until July 1st
