Howdy, trappers, traders, collectors, and all-around good-time enthusiasts—The North American Trap Collectors Association (N.A.T.C.A.) is turning 40, and they are throwing a party that has been four decades in the making.

Join N.A.T.C.A. July 9–11, 2025, in the beauty of Larry Creek Group Campground in Florence, tucked into Montana’s gorgeous Bitterroot National Forest. Western Canada meets the U.S. for one big bash here—and you’re on the guest list.

Schedule:

  • Check-in: Wednesday, July 9 at noon (show up fashionably early or just plain early—nobody is judging!).
  • Trading & sales: Kick off Thursday, July 10 at 8 a.m. sharp. Bring your goods, your gear, and your best poker face.
  • Check-out: Friday, July 11 by 11 a.m.

What to bring:

Your horses, horseshoes, fishing poles, traps, and of course—your family (especially the ones who don’t mind a little dirt and a lot of fun). When you’re done swapping stories and supplies, you’re just a scenic drive from Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks. Turn your road trip into a full-blown adventure.

The Setup:

  • FREE camping—RV or tent, they have space under the stars with your name on it.
  • Prefer sheets and a hot shower? Motels nearby in Lolo, Missoula, and Hamilton are ready and waiting.

So dust off your boots, pack up the gear, and be part of an exciting gathering that is as much about the people as it is the traps.
