Day One Leaders for Montana Governor’s Cup Walleye Tournament

Strong winds and strong weights out of Fort Peck Reservoir today, where 173 teams competed for the 2025 Montana Governor’s Cup Walleye Tournament. The first place prize is $15,000.

Top 5 leaders:

First place: Brem Phipps and Chris McFadden, of Montana, 55.53 pounds

Second place: Dan Petersen and Lance Kresge, of Montana, 47.30 pounds

Third Place:Jayden and Brent Wendel, of North Dakota,45.68 pounds

Fourth place: Chad and Brad Knox, of North Dakota, 38.96 pounds

Fifth place: Stuart Law and Macy Rose, of Montana, 37.14 pounds
