Only in Key West could a chicken crossing the road lead to a crime scene that wouldn’t be out of place in small-town Montana gossip. According to Local10.com, A woman there stopped to let a chicken pass (as one does), only to be honked at and passed by another driver who allegedly flattened the bird. While on a mission to seek justice for the bird, the woman tracked the driver down, yanked open her car door, and unleashed a can of bear spray, as if she were defending her campsite from a grizzly bear. It turns out, teaching someone a “lesson” with bear deterrent is frowned upon by Florida law. Now she’s facing charges for aggravated battery and burglary with assault. It is safe to assume this woman probably didn’t have a bowl of chicken soup to calm her soul after she got home.

The moral of the story is that you can take the bear spray out of Montana, but maybe don’t use it in Florida traffic!
