Even in Fresno, California, things in the water aren’t always what they seem. According to KMPH, first responders rushed to the scene after a 911 call reported what looked like a body in a canal—only to find, to everyone’s relief, a blow-up doll caught in the grate. While the situation thankfully turned out to be more bizarre than tragic, it’s a good reminder for us here in Montana. It doesn’t matter if you’re floating a ditch, stalking a back eddy, or trolling open water, it pays to stay alert. Out on the water, not everything that bobs, drifts, or splashes is what it appears to be, and sometimes, that “body” might just be full of air and bad decisions.
