And just like that, all things must come to an end. Sletten Construction Company is now removing the temporary St. Mary siphon work bridge, making way for the next phase of work. Once it’s out, NW Construction will move in to complete backfilling and enhance the banks. The road will be brought up to final grade and tied into the bridge abutments, allowing Reclamation crews to drive across for ongoing maintenance access.

On the morning of June 14, 2025, Wyoming Game and Fish Department personnel received a report that a cow moose had been shot in a confrontation with an angler on the North Tongue River in the Bighorn National Forest near Bear Lodge Resort. When game wardens responded, they found the moose deceased from her injuries.
