Lake Trout– Lots of fish up shallow now in 25-55 FOW. We targeted our fish with 3/4 ounce jigs and Kietech 4.8” paddletails. Sight flash, chartreuse, and alewife colored plastics all caught fish.
Smallmouth-Rocky points are holding lots fish. Fishing was a little slower this past week. Trying to get around in some of the wind, and the fish were a little off. Slip bobbers and minnows were the deal rather than trying to cast jigs in the heavy wind.
Pike-Lots of fish up in the shallows still, and most of our success was heading in creek arms less than a mile in from the main lake points. Spoons were best early, and some top water lures caught some fish as it got later into the morning.
Water temp was in the mid 50’s as of Wednesday, 10/22. Good luck out there!
