Pike– Good fishing still casting spoons and surface lures on submerged weed beds in 5-10 FOW. The better fishing now is on the largest weed beds we can find. The fishing for them was better about mid-morning to mid-afternoon.

Smallmouth– Fathead and sucker minnows were the deal for us last week, either on a dead rod or slip bobbers. Just about any rocky point with deep water nearby had some smallmouth on it.

Lakers– Fish are stacked up on their spawning areas now, and some post-spawn fish are moving back off those points in 50-65 FOW. The post-spawn fish were much more aggressive, and the following few days should see more of them sliding out of the 25-35 as more fish complete the spawning cycle.

Water temps were high 40’s to low 50’s last week.
