Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is serving up an in-person bowhunter education course right outside of Great Falls this June. The best part? It won’t cost you a single dime.

The Details (Where & When)

This isn’t a one-and-done Saturday morning lecture. It’s an immersive, multi-night gig designed to actually make you good at this.

• Location: The Trap Club in Ulm (just a quick hop from Great Falls).
• Dates: June 18, 19, 25, and 26.
• Time: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM nightly.

⚠️ The Golden Rule: You must attend all four nights to get the credit. Think of it as a mini-camp for future apex predators.

Why Swap the Screen for the Classroom?

Sure, you could try to learn bowhunting from a 12-part YouTube series, but algorithm advice doesn’t compare to the real deal. This course is taught by seasoned, volunteer bowhunters who have spent decades making mistakes so you don’t have to.

• Hands-on learning: Get your hands on the gear and learn the mechanics properly.
• Real-time QA: You can’t ask a pre-recorded video why your form is off or how to track in specific terrain.
• Mentorship: Connect with locals who actually know the Montana landscape.

Age Requirement: Future Robin Hoods need to be at least 11 years old by day one of the class to participate.
