Canyon Ferry: Walleye and rainbows are being caught on crankbaits between Duck Creek to Pond 1 and out from the Silos campground. Walleye and perch are being caught north and south of White Earth while using bottom bouncers or jigs in 30 to 40 feet of water. Rainbows are being caught on the north end while trolling cowbells. An occasional smallmouth bass is being caught on the north end while fishing rocky points on the west shore around the cabins. Shore fishing is slow. Troy Humphrey, FWP, Helena
Hauser: Rainbow fishing has been slow, but a few are being caught while trolling cowbells with wedding rings and worms between the powerlines and the Dam and below Canyon Ferry Dam while casting spinners or using nightcrawlers and marshmallows. A few walleye and perch are being caught inside the Causeway Arm and from the bridge while using jigs tipped with worms or leeches. Chris Hurley, FWP, Helena
Holter: Good numbers of rainbows are being caught out from the Gates of the Mountains while fly fishing with leech patterns or small nymphs and while trolling cowbells and wedding rings with worms around the Split Rock area. Perch fishing has been great inside the Canyon and on the lower end of the reservoir while jigging around weed beds in 8 to 18 feet of water. A few walleye are being caught while jigging near points and weed beds from the Oxbow Bend to the Dam. An occasional kokanee is being caught between Split Rock and the Dam while trolling 50 to 80 feet deep with Dodgers or cowbells and kokanee spinners tipped with corn. Chris Hurley, FWP, Helena
