Ross Tate—aka the Whitefish Whisperer—was back in his element on Monday, August 18, pulling 30 fish out of Skidoo Bay and icing 18 of them for the ride home. Fishing alongside his buddy Dick Zimmer, he sent a 3/8 oz Rattle-D-Zastor down 56 feet, and the bite didn’t disappoint. Most of the whitefish had been snacking on perch, and one of those unlucky perch even wound up in a photo shoot right next to the lure that fooled its predator.
