Late-season antlerless elk hunting just got a big boost, according to a recent post by FWP! Thanks to a deal between Montana FWP and Westmoreland Rosebud Mining, hunters can now access nearly 1,500 acres of mine land. Sign-ups are daily from 4:30–5:30 p.m. at Highway 39 and Castle Rock Road, first come, first served, with up to four hunters per party. You’ll need an unused general or antlerless elk license, and permission is granted weekly through Feb. 15. FWP reminds everyone to follow the rules and respect private property so this awesome opportunity sticks around.
