Forget your standard Friday night plans. Forget the couch, the remote, and whatever leftovers are lurking in your fridge. On Friday, May 8th, the real party kicks off at the Rhoadside Events Center in Huntley, MT, and it’s officially the start of the 2026 Montana Cats tour.
That’s right—the 20th Annual Yellowstone Challenge is upon us, and if you aren’t there, you’re missing the opening act of the summer.
The Friday Night Breakdown
- 6:00 – 7:00 P.M. | The Social: Rub elbows, talk smack, and grab some food from Noah’s BBQ. It’s the perfect time to size up the competition before things get serious.
- 7:00 – 10:00 P.M. | Calcutta & Rules: This is where the legends are made (and where you pay up). One team member must be present to officially declare your boat ramp and get the lowdown on the rules.
- Tip: This is also your last call for the “Overs/Side Pot.” It’s a $100 buy-in with a 100% payout to the top three teams. Don’t sleep on this.
A Quick Note on Logistics
- The Launch Zones: We’re keeping it simple this year. Captain Clark and Voyagers (Road 18) are the only launch and weigh-in sites. Plot your course accordingly.
- The Exit Strategy: If you’re registered but life threw a wrench in your plans and you can’t make it, do the right thing: contact Brady ASAP. There’s a waiting list of anglers dying to take your spot.
- The Cheat Sheet: Keep your eyes peeled on Wednesday night—that’s when the official team sheet drops.
Saturday: The Main Event
Once the sun comes up, it’s all about the water.

| Awards | 7:00 P.M. | Back to the Rhoadside Events Center for trophies, cash, and bragging rights. |
