2026 Fall Mack Days: Week 4 Update

Four weeks down, five to go…and the $10,000 lake trout is still winning. 11,225 fish turned in, 17 tagged fish caught, and Terry Krogstad sitting pretty at the top with 875 entries. Flathead Lake has five more weeks to make this interesting.

Here’s the latest update from CSKT:

We are on week 4 of our nine-week long 2026 Fall Mack Days event.  This year’s event began on September 10th and will end on November 8th. A total of 11,225 lake trout have been turned so far.

The $10,000 fish is still out there!  There are also tagged fish with values from $100-$5,000. Seventeen tagged fish have been caught so far, for a combined total of $2,300 dollars.

Eight tagged fish have been caught in the first three weeks, with a combined total of over a thousand dollars. Weekend drawing winners were Julie Perkins $200, Larry Ashwell $100, and Shaunda Albert $100.

Smallest Fish competition is led by Larry Karper with his small fish measuring at 144mm, Devon Bukowski also turned in a small fish measuring 160mm.

There have been no large fish turned in yet for the largest fish competition.

Top anglers are Terry Krogstad with 875, Clint Speer with 582, David Kelch with 569, Devon Bukowski with 542, Patrick Casey with 508, Jack Kirkland with 502, Larry Karper with 440, Richard Kreis with 404, Mike Benson with 368, Larry Ashwell with 367, Bob Stewart with 291, John Gauci with 240, Joe Minnehan with 239, Mike Colyer with 224, Felix Gauci with 159, Paul Grove with 108, Cory Heimdahl with 101, Ted Stewart with 92, Shane Salmimen with 81, and Matt McPherson with 66.

Julie Perkins pulled into the lead for the lady anglers with 240 lake trout entries, Laurie Kreis is in second with 215, third place is Shaunda Albert with 169, fourth places is Angie Marrow with 49 lake trout entries. Lincoln Gauci is leading the youth with 21, Carter Lindsay is second with 4, third is Royce Couture with 3.

Entries continue to be taken until the last day of the event. Fish one day or several days. Every entry put you in the lottery drawing and gives you the chance to win.
