Don Wilkins’ Weekly Fort Peck Fishing Report 10.23.26

Smallmouth- Deadstick rods with minnows and a single #10 treble with a couple split shots and slip bobbers with minnows were far and away the best set up for us this past week. Jigs and plastics caught some along the way but not as well as live bait. Rocky structure anywhere from 8-25 FOW is holding some good numbers of fish

Pike- fishing was a little slower this week with some of the wind making the shallow weed beds kind of murky. Spoons and shallow running crankbaits caught the fish for us. Top water lures in that stained water didn’t produce anything

Lakers-some decent numbers of fish starting to move up shallow now. Caught several fish in 35-50 FOW. Jigs and plastics were the deal for us but we did see a few other boats trolling for them having some success as well. Water temps this past week were 57-55
