MORS Weekly Wrap Up

Fall has arrived around Montana, the nights are starting to get cooler and hunting season will be in full swing before too long. If you missed the radio show on Saturday morning, here is a summary of how the fishing conditions are around Montana:

-Brett French Outdoor editor of the Billings Gazette says the fishing on Tongue River is still hot.

-Chancy at Snappy’s says area fishing is still good.  Some good reports on some nice big perch on Lake Mary Ronan in 20-25ft of water

-Dallas at Highline Cleaners in Chester says its been slow, but with the recent rain the walleye should start coming on this week end.

-Dale from Don’s in Lewistown says cat fishing has really picked up.

-John Harris from Lakeside Resort says Noxon Rapids Reservoir water temp has dropped the fishing will be great.

– Mary Beth Kibler of Kibler Outfitting says bow hunters will be challenged in Eastern Montana with the water everywhere.

-Noah from Rock Creek Marina says they’re full for the cabins and camping, and the weather is shaping up to be fruitful on Northerns.

-Robert from Malta Marine says fishing on Nelson has picked up for those fishing in deeper water.

-Rob Hart of  Hunting GPS Maps talks about their latest update for block management for the state.

-Ron Aashiem of Montana FWP reminds us on special licenses that it needs to be done by August 31st.  For more information go to fwp.mt.gov.

-Ryan from Bob Wards in Bozeman says with temps still high morning are best, In Helena Ryan reminds us of the river closures early in the morning due to drought conditions.

-Tammy from Northwest Sports in Eureka says they’re still catching kokanee on Lake Kookanusa.

– Sharon from the Silo’s RV says fishing is good on the South end of Canyon Ferry Reservoir and for more info call 406-266-3100.

-Shelby from Rocky Mountain Supply in Dillon says the past couple of days the weather kept folks home, but the Beaverhead is fishing well.
