Montana Mountain Lions (Cat Camp Continues)

 

The hunting of mountain lions in several Montana hunting districts in Region’s 3, 4 and 5 is closed as of one-half hour after sunset on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017:

Will close to hunting of all mountain lions:

  • HD 511 – which includes portions of Wheatland, Fergus and Golden Valley counties.

Will close to hunting of all mountain lions:

  • HD’s 405, 447, & 471 – which includes portions of Cascade, Chouteau, Judith Basin and Fergus counties.

Will close to hunting of female mountain lions:

  • HD’s 312 & 393 – which includes portions of Park, Gallatin and Meagher counties.

The closure notice for the hunt came shortly after Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks officials received word that the pre-established harvest quota or sub-quota for the districts had been met.
