Canyon Ferry: Walleye fishing continues to be good at times between Pond 1 and Pond 3, around White Earth and north of White Earth along the west shore. Trolling bottom bouncers with worm harnesses has been the most productive with a few being caught on jigs.  Rainbows are being caught on the north end and around White Earth while trolling crankbaits, spoons or cowbells.  Rainbows and an occasional perch are being caught while fishing for walleye.  Shore fishing has produced both rainbows and walleyes on worms or jigs with a worm around the Silos, Hellgate and Chinaman’s. Hauser: A few walleye are being picked up in Lake Helena while trolling crankbaits and inside the Causeway Arm while pitching various jigs tipped with leeches or crawlers Rainbow fishing has been decent below Canyon Ferry Dam while boat drifting nymphs below an indicator or casting nightcrawlers from shore. Trolling cowbells around the York Bridge and Black Sandy areas is also producing a few rainbows.  Chris Hurley, FWP, Helena

Holter: Rainbow fishing has been great from Split Rock to the Dam and across from Cottonwood Creek while trolling 40 feet deep with downriggers and various flashers tipped with spinners and crawler pieces or soft plastics. An occasional kokanee is being picked up with the same equipment. Shore anglers are finding a few rainbows from the Gates of the Mountains Road and at Departure Point with plain crawlers or Powerbait. Walleye and perch fishing has been great on the lower end of the reservoir while pitching jigs and crawlers or leeches around weed beds in 10 to 25 feet of water. A few northern pike are being caught while casting swim baits or larger spoons around weed beds.  Chris Hurley, FWP, Helena
