Canyon Ferry: Walleye fishing is very good around Ponds 2 and 3 and the river mouth in 20 feet of water.  Also, from White Earth to Round-top and between Confederate and Duck Creek in 20 to 35 feet of water on bottom bouncers with slow-death rigs or worm harnesses in various colors. Various colored jigs and crankbaits have been working as well.  A few perch are being caught by anglers using walleye rigs in these same areas.  Rainbows are being caught on walleye gear, lures or cowbells in the traditional walleye spots as well as the north end of the reservoir. Shore fishing has produced a few rainbows around the Silos, Confederate and White Earth.  Troy Humphrey, FWP, Helena

Hauser: Walleye fishing has been productive inside the Causeway arm and around the Eldorado Tailing while using various jigs, or bottom bouncers with crawler harnesses tipped with leeches or worms. Shore anglers are catching a few walleye below Canyon Ferry Dam, and from the Causeway Bridge during the late evening hours while pitching jigs or using slip bobbers and a leech. Rainbow fishing has been best in the morning while trolling cowbells and spinners between Black Sandy and York Bridge. Riverside Campground area also producing a few rainbows from shore while casting spoons, marabou jigs, or using worms and a marshmallow.  Chris Hurley, FWP, Helena

Holter: Rainbow trout fishing has been best during the early morning hours while trolling dodgers or cowbells with wedding ring style spinners on the lower end of the reservoir from Split Rock to the Dam or across from Cottonwood Creek. The walleye bite has been good along the Clay Banks on the lower end of the reservoir, and around other points and weed beds while vertical jigging with leeches or trolling bottom bouncers and walleye spinners with chartreuse or orange blades. Good numbers of perch are being caught while pitching smaller jigs and crawlers between Cottonwood Creek and the Oxbow Bend, and a few are being caught from shore while fishing from the docks at the BLM boat ramp near the Dam.  Chris Hurley, FWP, Helena
