BILLINGS – Stage 1 fire restrictions have been lifted on lands in Stillwater County managed by Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks.
Stillwater County Commissioners rescinded Stage 1 fire restrictions as of midnight on Sept. 26. FWP follows the county’s lead in placing fire restrictions on its properties within a particular county. That means that building of campfires in designated rings, smoking and other activities can resume at the following recreational sites in Stillwater county:
- Big Lake Wildlife Management Area
- Buffalo Jump Fishing Access Site (FAS)
- Castle Rock FAS
- Cliff Swallow FAS
- Fireman’s Point FAS
- Holmgren Ranch FAS
- Homestead Isle FAS
- Indian Fort FAS
- Jeffrey’s Landing FAS
- Moraine FAS
- Rosebud Isle FAS
- Swinging Bridge FAS
- Whitebird FAS
FWP urges people to continue to use caution while recreating due to dry conditions and fire danger.
