BILLINGS – Due to bridge damage on the access road to the Whitebird Fishing Access Site (FAS), Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is implementing a partial site closure effective immediately. There are no other public access points to Whitebird FAS, and damage to the bridge structure along the sole access road has led to a public safety risk for vehicle access.
Due to these conditions, motorized access is temporarily prohibited at the site. Walk-in access is still allowed at this time, but visitors must ensure they do not obstruct roadways or other access points when parking.
The sites will reopen to vehicle access as soon as conditions allow.
