BMU 520 Black Bear Hunting Closure

Montana wildlife officials have announced the closure of black bear archery hunting in Bear Management Unit 520. The closure applies to all black bears and takes effect one-half hour after sunset on Thursday, September 10, 2026, remaining in place through the end of the archery-only season. The action was ordered by the Montana Fish & Wildlife Commission.
