Montana State Spring Rodeo set for April 9-12

The 2026 edition of Montana State University’s Spring Rodeo will run Thursday, April 9 through Sunday, April 12, at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse on the MSU campus. It will be the rodeo teams’ only home competition of the season.

The competition will consist of two separate events: one on Thursday and Friday and the other on Saturday and Sunday, including competitions against visiting teams from across the region. The full competition breakdown is below.

  • Thursday, April 9: Performance rounds begin at 7 p.m.
  • Friday, April 10: Slack begins at 10 a.m.; Short-Go Performance rounds begin at 7 p.m.
  • Saturday April 11: Slack begins at 10 a.m.; Performance rounds begin at 7 p.m.
  • Sunday, April 12: Short-Go Performance begins at 1 p.m.

Seating in the Fieldhouse is reserved, and tickets for a single day begin at $17. Children ages 2 and under are free if sitting on a guardian’s lap. The rodeo will also be livestreamed on the Cowboy Channel app and broadcast live on the Scripps network across Montana.
