Canyon Ferry: Walleye fishing is very good around Ponds 2 and 3 and the river mouth in 15 to 20 feet of water. Also, from White Earth to Round-top and between Confederate and Duck Creek in 20 to 35 feet of water on bottom bouncers with slow-death rigs or worm harnesses in perch, fire tiger, blue or gold spinner blade colors. Various colored jigs and crankbaits have been working as well. A few perch are being caught by anglers using walleye rigs in these same areas. Rainbows are being caught on walleye gear, lures or cowbells in the traditional walleye spots as well as the north end of the reservoir. Shore fishing has produced a few rainbows around the Silos, Confederate and White Earth. Troy Humphrey, FWP, Helena
Hauser: Walleye fishing has been good in the Causeway Arm and around the Eldorado Dredge Piles while using bottom bouncers with spinner rigs or slip bobbers and leeches. Rainbow fishing has been great in the early morning below Canyon Ferry Dam while using streamer flies or Powerbait and a few trout are being picked up while trolling cowbells and wedding rings between White Sandy and Soup Creek. A few northern pike continue to be caught around the weed beds in the Causeway Arm and around the Dredge Piles while casting larger spinners or swim baits. Chris Hurley, FWP, Helena
Holter: Rainbow fishing has been great, and the best bite has been early morning. Good numbers of trout are being caught on the upper end of the reservoir while flyfishing with leech patterns or small nymphs. Trolling dodgers or cowbells with wedding rings or hoochies has been a killer for trout, and it has been producing a few nice kokanee at depths down to 60 feet near the Dam as well. Some other great spots for hungry trout have been near the Sleeping Giant, across from Cottonwood Creek, and from Split Rock to the Dam. A few walleye are being caught in some of the small bays in the Canyon with jigs and crawlers or slip bobbers and leeches. A few northern pike continue to be caught around weed beds mostly on the upper end of the reservoir with larger streamers, spinners, or swim baits. A few perch are being caught around the weed beds with smaller jigs but not many anglers are reporting large numbers of perch. Chris Hurley, FWP, Helena
