The 2014 Fishing Derby at McGregor Lake was a huge success, boasting nearly 560 entrants and raising some good money for good causes.
According to the Lodge at McGregor Lake’s Facebook page
The Fishing Derby was a great success again this year. We had 526 fishermen/ women and 33 in the children’s division. Flathead Beverage matched our charitable donation this year so we were able to donate $2104 to Prostate Cancer Awareness and $2104 to Save A Sister for Breast Cancer Awareness. All the money donated will go to local chapters and will stay in Flathead and Lincoln counties. A huge thanks to Flathead Beverage! There was over $11,000 in door prizes handed out this year. The 1st place Rainbow won $1052 and the 1st place Mackinaw won $1315! We hope everyone had a great weekend and look forward to seeing you all next year.
The big winner in the Mackinaw division weighed in at 17lb 13oz and was caught by 14 yr old Tim Carvey! Fantastic fish! Congratulations!
Dave Broeder of Kalispell took 1st place in the rainbow division with this fish weighing in at 4lb 13oz! Great job Dave!
