Andy Hill, the Founder of Fishabilities, is passionate about fishing and the outdoors and believes that everybody should have the opportunity to enjoy what Montana has to offer.  He created Fishabilities to help people with disabilities do just that!

“Fishabilities is a fledgling Montana corporation established to assist individuals with disabilities and give them the opportunity to enjoy fishing and the outdoors regardless of their level of disability, age, or sex.”   The rest of the description posted on the Fishabilities donation page explains that there is only one organization in Montana that assists individuals with disabilities by giving them opportunities to enjoy fishing and the outdoors, and that organization is limited to veterans.

The paperwork has been filed to make Fishabilities a 501(c)(3), and although this will be a “costly and time-consuming undertaking”, it is worth every second and cent spent.

A program like this opens doors for so many disabled people without the funds and resources to be able to experience being outdoors.  Although donations are not currently tax-deductible, they are greatly appreciated and will be when the paperwork process to make Fishabilities a non-profit is complete.
