Canyon Ferry: Rainbows are still being caught throughout the reservoir. Shoreline anglers continue to have success at traditional access points using worms or flies. Boat anglers are catching rainbows while trolling Needlefish or cowbells. Walleye fishing has been fair with some action occurring throughout the south end while trolling bottom bouncers or rapalas. Hauser: Rainbow action is good while trolling crankbaits or cowbells around White Sandy and York Bridge. A few rainbows are being caught from shore at Riverside on worms. Walleye are being caught in the Causeway on jigs or bottom bouncers and worms. Troy Humphrey, FWP, Helena
Holter: Rainbow fishing continues to be good throughout the reservoir, especially between Split Rock and Holter Dam while trolling cowbells. Shore fishing for rainbows is slow. Walleye fishing is good from Cottonwood Creek to Holter Dam while using jigs or trolling bottom bouncers in 10 to 15 feet of water.
