Smallmouth-Fishing was excellent this past week with minnows on dead rods and slip bobbers. Fish were scattered out from 10-30 feet. Bigger fish came out of the deeper water.

Northern pike-Plenty of fish cruising weed lines still as we get farther into the late season. Spoons and top water plugs worked well. Trolling shallow-running crankbaits will also pull a few fish.

Lakers-Fish are up on the shallow points in good numbers now. We targeted fish in 40-50 feet, vertical jigging for them. Kietech 4.8” plastics with a 3/4 ounce jig head caught most of the fish. We also threw a 9” swimbait down there and picked up a few big ones. Water temp was about 53 degrees.
