MILES CITY – Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is seeking information about a mule deer buck that was shot with archery equipment and then dumped on the Castle Rock Lake park property in Colstrip.

The deer was likely shot on Nov. 3 and dumped the following morning. According to game warden Tanner Mitchell, no attempt was made to field dress the animal or retain any of the meat, so the deer was left to waste.

Anyone with possible information about this incident is encouraged to contact warden Mitchell at 406-853-7300, or visit tipmont.mt.gov to provide details. You may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
