Don Wilkins’ Weekly Fort Peck Fishing Report 6.26.26

This week’s report from Don Wilkins (You can reach him at 406.407.6648) outlines current patterns for targeting Walleye, Lake Trout, and Northern Pike. From dialing in trolling speeds to identifying key depths, here is the setup that has been putting fish in the boat:

Walleye– Main lake points in 18-25 FOW pulling slow death rigs with either a single red or white bead, or a green prop blade have been producing well. Jigs and minnows have picked up some bigger fish for us as well. Trolling speed has been 1-1.1 mph.

Lake trout– Flats adjacent to deep points have some decent amounts of fish on them. Mainly looking in 95-120 FOW. Vertical jigging with swim baits worked 10-15 feet off the bottom was the deal for us.

Pike– Still lots of nice fish cruising in the shallow weed areas. Casting spoons and shallow-running crankbaits worked well this past week.
