Celebrate Fishing Conservation at the Wolf Point Walleyes Unlimited Annual Banquet

Anglers, conservation supporters, and outdoor enthusiasts are invited to the Walleyes Unlimited Wolf Point Chapter’s 40th Annual Banquet on March 21 at the Elks Event Center in Wolf Point, Montana. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. with a social hour, and guests will enjoy a Prime Rib and Walleye dinner served at 7:00 p.m. The evening promises plenty of great food, fellowship, and opportunities to support one of the region’s most active fishing conservation organizations.

The banquet will feature bucket raffles, general raffles, and several exciting prize drawings throughout the night. Three lucky winners will take home cash prizes of $2,000 for first place, $1,000 for second place, and $500 for third place. Attendees will also have the chance to win some impressive raffle items, including a Bergara 7mm PRC Sierra Wilderness rifle topped with a Vortex scope, a Henry Golden Boy .22, and a sidearm that will be announced soon. In addition, a special raffle will offer the chance to win a Walleyes Unlimited membership along with a premium prize package. Tickets for the dinner are $40 per plate, and anyone interested in attending or learning more can contact Kris Keller at 406-790-0224 or Chapter President Joe Erickson at 406-885-1469.

Walleyes Unlimited of Montana (WUM) is the largest sport fishing organization in the state, with more than 4,000 members since its founding in 1983. The organization works to promote and protect warm water fishing in Montana by supporting fish hatcheries, forage fish programs, conservation efforts, and educational initiatives for anglers. WUM also plays a key role in Montana’s walleye tournament community, requiring membership for anglers who wish to compete for prize money in sanctioned events, though tournaments themselves are run by independent boards. As a nonprofit organization, WUM is dedicated to conserving warm water fish populations, promoting ethical sportsmanship, educating the public and youth about responsible fishing and wildlife stewardship, and fostering strong relationships between anglers, landowners, and local communities while supporting outdoor recreation across the state.
