Montana PLPW Committee Meeting Aug. 20: What Hunters Need to Know

HELENA – The Private Land/Public Wildlife (PLPW) Advisory Committee will meet Thursday, Aug. 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. on Zoom. Public comment will be taken via Zoom. To participate in the meeting and to provide comment, go to fwp.mt.gov/plpw and click on the meeting link.

Meeting objectives are as follows:

  • Review 2025-2026 landowner incentive survey preliminary results

  • Understand funding for FWP access programs

  • Finalize recommendations for final PL/PW report

The PLPW advisory committee, appointed by the governor, is a citizen advisory committee composed of people interested in issues related to hunters, anglers, landowners and outfitters. The committee is charged with reviewing, reporting and making recommendations on FWP’s hunting and fishing access programs, landowner-hunter relations, outfitting industry issues, public access land agreement, and other issues related to private lands and public wildlife.
