Region 1 – FWP is looking for information on a deer poaching yesterday evening involving two individuals driving the cart path on Eagle Bend gold course off Chapman Hills Road. Several shots were fired from the golf course cart path, killing a whitetail buck on the Ridge Estates subdivision.
The individuals left the area back out along the cart path back to Chapman hills road and would have allowed the whitetail buck to go to waste. Concerned residents in the area called the sheriff’s office to report it and FWP and FHSO responded. The vehicle was described as a small 4-door dark brown or gray squared looking SUV similar to a minivan in shape with rack on top.
Anyone seeing this vehicle in the area or has further information should call FWP TIP-MONT 1-800-847-6668 line or Warden Sergeant Jon Obst at 270-7748.
