Hi, Angie here from Bob Ward & Sons, & even with the wet & snowy weather, you can still fish like crazy in the HELENA waters..

On the MISSOURI RIVER, the weather will be consistent till Sunday, cold & windy, but then will warm up. Streamer fishing is of course getting better and better, so get out the natural-colored Zonkers, Pearl Minnows or your best black Home Invader & sink your tips. Baetis continues to be the liveliest bug, just be sure to stick to around size 18. Nymphing is scandalously good right now, at a depth of about 4 feet, with lighting bugs, worm & egg imitations as reliable go-tos. Or try a Miracle Nymph, a Pheasant Tail or an Emerger in 14-16 for your angling pleasure!

On Canyon Ferry & Holter, walleye fishing is active, stick to about 30 ft & use your bottom bouncers or that incredible, edible worm! Places of choice right now are White Earth or Round Top, but neither is as delectable as the East side of the lakes where both Walleye & Perch are fishing well, down deep at 50 ft.

Don’t let the weather keep you inside when the fishing is still prime…check out the cold-weather gear at your Bob Wards, then head out! You’ll stay warm & the fishing’ll be just that much HOTTER! SEE YOU NEXT WEEK for more, folks

Make sure you’ve got your 2012 fishing regs!
