I Resolve to FISH MORE

I do a huge amount of archery and rifle hunting, trapping  and spend countless hours in the summer scouting, but I don’t get out fishing nearly as much as I plan to or would like to.

After a recent scan through my computer’s hard drive picture folder, I realized that, out of the thousands of the digital memories I have saved, I only have two pictures that involve fishing (pictured above)–and they were from seven years ago!

I immediately began to run all of the fishing trips I’ve taken in the past decade through my head, wondering why my only TWO existing pictures of any fishing trips were from bowfishing, when I know for a fact I had been out pole fishing quite a bit over the last decade or two–or had I?

It turns out, I have been pole fishing maybe 10 times or so since that bowfishing trip back in 2005! Blasphemy–I know!  I couldn’t believe it.  I love fishing.  I just can’t figure out why I haven’t made it out much.

As a result of this devastating realization, I made a decision to ensure my life will not be void of fishing anymore, and my New Year’s resolution for 2013 is to change my fishing habits by getting out at least once a month, hopefully more, if time allows.  (This includes more bowfishing, too!)

I resolve to fish more in 2013.

See you out there!
