Chancy from Snappy’s
Chancy at Snappy’s says the ice is still holding in. Guys getting on Bitterroot ice fishing limiting on salmon, but you need to be careful from the shoreline. Ashley Lake is being hit pretty good, Beaver Lake for kokannee. Island Lake still catching a lot perch up there in the 7-11 inch range and a lot of small pike. Kevin from Snappy’s was up on Blanchard and got come nice crappie, and the ice was holding pretty nice up there. Getting good reports from the South end by the bays and narrows. East bay perch should be showing up on the Flathead these next few weeks as the fish move into shallow water. Over on the East Side Rusty was fishing mission and got some really nice fish, most of the lake was open and he got some big rainbows.

Shelby says 1 guy did well on the Big Hole. Fishing has been really good on the Bighole using a double dropper nymph with a stone fly and prince. Folks been doing well for rainbows on the Bighole as well as some nice browns. If you’re in the Dillon area, stop into Rocky Mountain Supply for more information or call 406-683-2308.
