Glendive, Mont.– Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks officials are seeking information from the public about the illegal wasting and dumping of a white tailed buck discovered on Pederson Drive near Dawson Community College in Glendive.

FWP Warden Steve Marx said the deer was found and reported on the 18th of March.  It had been harvested and hung until it began to mold and then was abandoned in the road ditch.  No meat was taken off of the deer; it was completely wasted.  Montana law prohibits the waste of game animals.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Marx directly at 406-377-1775 or the Turn In Poachers-Montana hotline at 1-800-TIP-MONT (1-800-847-6668). Callers can remain anonymous and may be offered a cash reward if the information leads to an arrest.
