Hear where the fish are biting in the Great Falls and Dillon areas, from the latest edition of the Montana Outdoor Radio Show.

Leonard from Roberts Bait and Tackle
Leonard from Robert’s Bait and Tackle says Holter is still a bit slow on walleye, but are getting some nice perch.  Around Piscan and Bynum you can’t get a boat in.  Francis you can only get a boat in by the island to get in.  For those that get out there, been a lot of nice 17-19 inch walleye when they’re found. Fresno’s had a lot of nice reports on walleye, and 14 inch crappy.  Riverwise it’s low, mossy, and not worth fishing right now.  Robert’s Bait and Tackle will be closed the 28th of September through the 6th of October.  Until then, if you have any questions or need rod & reel repair call Leonard 406-454-1877.

Shelby from RockyMountain Supply in Dillon
Shelby from Rocky Mountain Supply in Dillon says the hunting and fishing has been great with the cooler weather.  The Bighole area has had a few reports on antelope for archery hunters.  The lower and lower Clark Canyon Reservoir goes trout fishing gets better and better and has been great.  Ling fishing is doing well, and trout fishing is on the North side by the dam is the place to be.  There is also a good duck population flying in the area looking good for youth hunters this weekend for waterfowl.  If you’re in the Dillon area, stop into Rocky Mountain Supply for more information or call 406-683-2308.
