The Captain wanted to find out how the trout fishing was on Holter, so he headed over Monday. Dave Montelius and John Hermes from Missoula went along, too.
It was a good day, as they caught and hooked over 40 trout. They seemed to be running shallow in 8-9 feet of water and in 90 feet depth. They fished exclusively by Cottonwood Creek and trolled right at 2 miles per hour. J-7 and 9 fire tiger rapala produced the best with fire tiger cyclops and J-7 orange/white rapala were also doing well. The surface water temperature was 60 degrees.
Nice work, guys!
