Congratulations to Lance Jones from Stevenseville, MT who harvested his first game animal with a long bow.

Jones was hunting in Idaho just a few miles from the Montana/Idaho border on Tuesday when he found success for the first time with his 60 pound Montana Long Bow.

Lance Bear 3

Earlier concerns about the quality of the hide being poor were laid to rest when this fully furred bear was recovered. Bears this time of year can begin to rub their hides especially as temperatures rise but some bears keep a good coat until the end of June. Idaho’s spring bear season runs until June 30th.

Lance Bear 4

Jones was successful last year in Montana when he took his first bear with a rifle but had never pursued any anumal with traditional equipment until this year.

Great job Lance! Success with a long bow is a mile stone achievement!
