Downrigger Dale and Alan Tabish joined the Captain for a day of fishing Canyon Ferry Reservoir.
Trolling Berkley flicker shad at 1.7 miles per hour in 2-3 feet of water, they caught the majority of the walleyes in the afternoon when the water warmed to 54 degrees.

The largest walleye was only 15 inches.  Most were in the 12-inch range.  All the fish were males.

The day weather had very little wind and lots of sunshine. Rainbow and gold-colored lures worked the best. They also caught a walleye with a Kit’s Tackle fire tiger Glassminnow tipped with part of a crawler, pitching it toward shore.  Most of their fish were caught by Pond One.
