Hunting:
General season for Deer and Elk has ended. Pheasant, Grouse, Fall Turkey, and Partridge season are open, as well. Duck and Goose are also open in both flyways and all zones—and with these cold weeks we should see plenty of birds. We’ve got some great sales this weekend so come on in!

Fishing:
Canyon Ferry: Ice about 4” at silos (maybe more after Friday). There are some fishing it and the bite seems to be good—but ice conditions are pretty variable so please exercise caution and keep an eye on the changing conditions.
Missouri River: Temps are pretty cold on the Mo so if your bent on braving the cold make sure to bring some neoprene gloves and some warm clothes—keep the bare skin covered—a thermos of some hot coffee goes a long way too. You’ll also need some ice line and to keep an eye on you rod guides to keep them from icing up on you. We’d recommend tossing some BH lightening bugs, Czechs, small BWOs, and some worms.
Causeway: Ice is here and there is at least 5” and after Friday there may be even more. However, please be safe and pay attention to changing ice conditions. The bite is on and Walleye are even hooking up. We’d recommend some blue Swedish pimple tipped with night crawlers about 10’ and chasing it up.

Winter: Its Here….we’ve got new ski gear and great winter apparel to keep you warm especially with these frigid temps this week.

Great Divide: is open with the Good Luck lift running at noon on Saturday, and Sunday. Their snow machines are running around the clock and with more weather in the upcoming forecast more of the mountain should start to open up. Snow-wise the upper mountain has 29” and the lower has 30”.
Showdown: Its opening weekend at Showdown. Their canned food drive will be Dec. 18th which is 15 cans of food and $15 lift tickets. Showdown currently has 12-15” of snow with plenty in the upcoming forecast.
Big Sky: is open and is running the Tram with access to the Liberty Bowl as well as about two-thirds of their lifts. The mountain has about 23-34” of snow right now.
Whitefish Resort: is also open with 49” of settled base. There are six lifts open and plenty of great runs to test out. If you’re looking for a scenic ski hill Whitefish rivals the best of them.

Keep praying for some snow, keep your fingers-crossed for colder weather, or start dancing for snow so we can break out the gear and make some turns!
