The Phantom Gobbler (by Brett French)
By angelamontana

Turkey hunting is about as close as you can get to archery elk hunting in the off-season. Just like elk hunting during the rut, you get to work on calling skills to try and lure in your prey. Just like a bull, a big gobbler will often come in loud and looking for a fight. Just as many times, though, you chase around the woods and never close the distance even though a vocal gobbler is just over the next ridge. That’s how one turkey earned the name “The Phantom Gobbler.”
