By angelamontana

The Broadwater Rod and Gun Club is hosting a couple of fun events on the May 19-21 weekend. Here’s a rundown of what’s happening.

The Canton Lane Trap range will hold the ATA sanctioned BRGC Club Championship Trap Tournament on May 20 and 21, 2017. Each day of the tourney 100 target events in singles, doubles, and handicap will be offered to shooters for a total of 600 targets over the 2 day competition. 30 trophies will be awarded including HOA Champion for the highest 6 event total and the BRGC club member with the highest score in Sunday’s (Event 5) singles will be crowned BRGC club champion. BRGC has a limited number of complimentary ATA memberships for club members who would like to compete. The only restriction is the member must be a new shooter who has never been an ATA member. Squadding starts at 8:30 AM, practice at 9:00 Am, and events start at 10:00 AM each day. Some of the state’s best trap shooters are expected to attend. Come to BRGC this weekend and experience the fun of trap shooting.

On May 20, 2017 BRGC’s Indian Creek Range will host a Meet & Greet for the Extreme Long Range Team. ELR shooter Kory Eby is preparing for a Guinness World Record long range shot of 3 Miles! Food and beverages will be provided and visitors will have the opportunity to participate in a long range rifle match. Bring your center fire rifle, ammunition, and compete in 500 and 1000 yard events. Three classes are open to shooters with 3 prizes to the top shooters in each class. This Meet & Greet starts at 10:00 AM and runs to 4:00 PM Saturday, May 20th. For more information, check out ELR at:

And don’t forget the Humble Hills Sporting Clays course at the Indian Creek Range is open at 2:00 PM on Sundays. Bring your smoothbore, challenge your skills, and have a great time.

Broadwater Rod and Gun Club offers some of the best shooting opportunities in Montana. The May 20-21 weekend is the perfect time to check out what BRGC has to offer. Who knows, you just might be a winner.

Be safe and good shooting.
