Just ask the Captain, missing an elk when shooting a bow can be extremely frustrating and even heartbreaking. Part of the reason is that most archers know, given a similar shot with a rifle, they would be putting meat in the freezer. But archery hunting provides few guarantees, mainly because getting so close to such a big, wary animal is no easy task, despite those videos we all see of a bull walking within feet of a hidden archer.
